Douglas A. Ramey
Douglas A. Ramey was born in Marshall County, Kentucky, in 1959. He graduated Cum Laude in 1978 with an Associates Degree from Black Hawk College in Moline, Illinois. In 1981, he graduated Cum Laude from Murray State with degrees in Political Science, Speech Communications and Business Administration. While attending Murray State, Mr. Ramey served as a member of the Student Senate and as Co-Chairman of the University Judicial Board. He also served as President of the Alpha Kappa Psi Fraternity and as President of the Student Law Association. Mr. Ramey received his law degree from the University of Kentucky in 1984 and moved to Madisonville to launch his career as an attorney.
Mr. Ramey has practiced in state and federal courts and is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association and past President of the Hopkins County Bar Association. He has been with his service on numerous charitable boards and constructive community involvement and was awarded the Special Congressional Recognition for Outstanding Service to the community. Mr. Ramey and his family are members of the First Baptist Church in Earlington, Kentucky, where he has taught Sunday School for over 25 years.
